CLASSIC GRADE

The image above is taken from a floor finished with oil. Please note that our grades may also be finished with a matt varnish which makes the finished colour much closer to the original colour of the unfinished board.

Classic Grade floors use oak boards selected from premium English oak: they have very few knots, and the grain and colour are more even than in other grades. There may be some quarter sawn oak boards. English oak boards of this grade are becoming increasingly rare and sought after.

No sap is visible on the face side of the board, and in any case, sap will not exceed 5%.

Random widths:	100mm - 200mm (4" - 8"nom.)
Random Lengths:	1220mm - 3658mm (4' - 12'), mainly 1525mm - 3050mm (5' - 10'), with at least 85% over 1830mm (6').
