EXMOOR GRADE.

Specifications:

The image above is taken from a floor finished with oil. Please note that our grades may also be finished with a matt varnish which makes the finished colour much closer to the original colour of the unfinished board.
Exmoor Grade oak floors are very much in the traditional style of English oak floors. The boards tend to have a rich and flowery grain with lively variations in colour and tone, tidy knots and light 'catspaw' - clusters of small knots and occasional small cracked knots: (sound knots are up to 1", there may be a few tidy knots up to circa 1.5" on good boards). Some oak boards may be quarter sawn.
Also available in other random widths and/or regular widths. Please call this office for a price.

Oak boards may have mild surface checking and occasional brown oak (fistulina hepatica). Sapwood may be visible on some boards (not exceeding 5% of the face area and 10% of the total area).
